APN Career Opportunity

Want to learn more about NESAO first?

So why APN ’s?

Starting in 1997, Dr. S. Kwon Lee started to realize how wound care can be achieved with evidence-based medicine. Taking this scientific approach to wounds, it became clear wounds could be healed and healed faster, with less dressing changes resulting in cost effective and superior outcomes. Over the next few years, it was evident the areas benefiting from this type of service were long term care and home care.

In 2000, with a burgeoning demand for the service due to the achievement of superior outcomes and workload reduction for nurses, expansion of the practice had to be considered. APN's were the natural choice as they:

  • Knew the nursing and medical model.
  • Were able to augment the practice by providing independent wound management with support of the collaborative physician.
